Nihshabd: Two plays. Two relationships. A world of unspoken words.
Nihshabd brings together two compelling plays: Main… Anamika, written by Mathura Kalauny, and Shayad, written by Mohan Rakesh. Both explore the complexities of human relationships, including unspoken expectations, emotional distances and inner conflicts.
Main… Anamika follows a woman's search for identity, belonging and emotional connection. Caught between her need to be understood and her struggle to find her place in the world, she confronts the silences within herself and the relationships around her.
Shayad reflects on human indecision, unfulfilled desires and the gap between the life we live and the life we imagine we should have lived. Set within a marriage caught between expectation and disillusionment, the play explores the quiet frustrations of everyday existence and the elusive possibility of change.
Together, the two plays invite audiences to look beyond words and gestures into the silences that shape our relationships and the emotions we struggle to express.
