[TICKET LINK IN BIO] What is gender? And what is patriarchy?

Do these categories affect only women, or can they shape men as well? Or people that live beyond the binary? Or, society itself?

What is the relationship between gender and patriarchy? How do we understand power? Further, what IS feminism? Is it activism? Or is it theory?

Is it about thought, ideas and concepts? Is it about causes and explanations? About effects and solutions? Is it social theory, or not? If yes, what kind of social theory is it?

This lecture aims to debunk some myths about feminism. It aims to unpack some of the above questions; it aims to put forward languages and ways of thinking to analyse gender and patriarchy in our worlds. It aims to introduce feminism - as theory building, as knowledge production.
