BEYOND THE BALLOT: WOMEN, POWER AND POLITICS

What does it mean to be a woman in politics? To lead, negotiate, dissent, survive and make decisions in a world where power has rarely been equally distributed?

This November, AG Lit Sisters turns its attention to women in politics, their journeys, struggles, ambitions and legacies.

Inspired by Sonia Gandhi's book The Belonging, releasing on 10 November, this gathering is an invitation to look beyond political headlines and electoral victories. We want to explore the women behind the public personas: their choices, convictions, contradictions and the histories they have shaped.

From Indira Gandhi to contemporary political leaders, from parliamentarians to grassroots movements, whose stories have we heard, and whose voices remain missing?

Bring a book, an opinion, and your curiosity. You don't have to agree with everyone. You only have to be willing to have a conversation.
