About
What can a drawing show us that a building cannot?
This exhibition presents one of the largest private collections of architectural drawings of Rajasthan’s forts and palaces, from Jaisalmer and Amber to Mehrangarh and Hawa Mahal. Each drawing is the product of years of research and meticulous documentation, recording the walls, courtyards, and water systems that shaped life inside these buildings.
Comprehensive documentation of such places is increasingly scarce. Digitised and opened to the public, this collection gives researchers, students, and curious visitors access to study the details closely, now and for generations to come.
